Projectors - No Display from PC/Laptop

Solution

Came across this problem twice. User logs a call, saying that the projector is not working or actually not displaying anything from the desktop. Even though the projector is switched on and sound can be heard via the external speakers. Ask the user to do the following check :- 1) Either close or minimise all the application(s), so that you access to Windows Desktop. 2) Right click in a clear space 3) From the menu choose “Display Settings Second from bottom 4) Display Settings windows will appear. 5) Look for the option that says “Multiple Display about half way down on the left. 6) If it says anything other than “Duplicate These Display. Do the following :- i) Click on the pull-down menu ii) From the pull-down menu select “Duplicate These Display iii) Click on “OK button iv) After a couple of seconds the projector will display Windows Desktop. iiv) If it doesn’t log a call. 7) If it already says “Duplicate These Display, log a call.
