Browse wireless networks using WiFi symbol next to the clock
Connect to ‘RunshawWiFi’
Input network username and password
Internet access will now be available
Devices running Windows 7
- Open Network and Sharing Centre and launch ‘Manage Wireless Networks’
- Add a new manual network named ‘RunshawWiFi’ with WPA2-Enterprise/AES set as Security and Encryption
- Select ‘Change connection settings’ > Security > Settings and untick ‘Validate server certificate’
- Browse wireless networks using WiFi symbol next to the clock
- Connect to ‘RunshawWiFi’
- Input network username and password
- Internet access will now be available
Chromebook
Open Wireless Settings by left clicking on Wi-Fi icon at the bottom right of the task bar and then click on the settings option
In settings under internet connection options, select the Wi-Fi Network option
Select the Wireless SSID option
StudentWirelessRunshawWifi, which will open a wireless configuration window
Click on configure at the bottom of the window which will open the Join Wi-Fi network window
Complete the details in this configuration window as below:
SSID-StudentWirelessRunshawWifi
EAP method- PEAP
Phase 2 authentication- MSCHAPv2
Server CA certificate- Do not check
Subject Match-leave it blank
User certificate-none installed
Identity: - Username (College Username)
Password:-Password (College password)
Anonymous identity: - leave it blank
Click Connect
