Microsoft Outlook - Set your Availability & Working Hours

To change your Outlook Calendar to show you are working different hours

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook.

  2. Select File > Options > Calendar.

  3. On this screen you can set:

    • start and end time for work hours

    • work week - which days you work

    • default reminders - how long before an appointment you get notified.

    • add holidays to your calendar

    • and more

  4. Select OK to save your changes.

To change your working hours in Office 365 (online) calendar

  1. Log into Outlook Online.

  2. Click the app launcher located in the in the top left corner (it may appear as a square), and select Calendar.

  3. Click Settings (the gear icon) in the top right.

  4. Select Calendar, then select View; this will display Calendar Appearance.

  5. To set your days of work, check the days you are in the office and uncheck the days you are not working.

  6. To set the hours of your workday, select the start of your workday using the Start Time drop down menu, and select the end of your work day using the End Time drop down menu. Note: Take note of the time zone indicated. If it is not correct, then your workday hours will be off, as will your calendar times.

  7. Select OK to save your changes.

  8. Select X to exit the calendar settings menu.
