Just a quick reminder that you can now make calls as Teachers to any Mobiles/Landlines for any work-related calls from your college device using Teams, rather than having to physically call from a workroom phone.
To do this, Open Teams, click on Calls in the top left corner and type your Number in as shown. Importantly you will need to select the down arrow and ‘Call as ‘Workroom Phone’ ˅ (In the example below it’s our IT Services Workroom Phone) then simply press Call & it will connect through.
In the event you want to receive a call back directly, you can always give them your workroom phone number and they’ll be able to call you back in your Work room on the shared phone (the Direct number is displayed on the screen of each workroom phone).
Also, if you want to contact a team/dept or member of staff directly, you can simply just type in their name in the same field and press Call (without even needing to press the ‘call as’ button). This will connect you across campus at any time and this feature is really useful if you encounter a First Aid or IT Related issue whilst in class. Now you can call us using Teams rather than having to travel over to your Workroom.
We’ve also setup some short codes to quickly dial for Support across College (also on the phones themselves)
