Teams Voice - Contacts
In the Calls section of Teams you will see a Contacts tab. These are your personal contacts and can't be seen by anyone else.
- 1 Create Contacts
- 1.1 In Outlook
- 1.2 In Teams
- 2 Delete Contacts
Create Contacts
Teams contacts will automatically sync with Outlook - so any contacts you want available in both locations need to be added in Outlook.
In Outlook
Please note that it may take a while for new contacts to sync to Teams
Click on the contacts icon at the bottom of your contacts
Click New Contact from the top menu
Add the details then press Save & Close
In Teams
From the Calls menu
Click on the Contacts tab
Click Add Contact (top right hand side)
Type in the name you want to add
If it is the name for an external person or company you will see a message saying We didn't find any matches - click anywhere on the add to contacts box & this message will disappear
Click on the Add button
Enter the details required & click Add
Delete Contacts
You have to remove the contacts from the place they were created ie Outlook or Teams.
Teams
Click on the ... next the contact name & click Remove Contact
If you are unable to click on the ... then the contact has to be removed from Outlook
Outlook
Click on the contacts icon at the bottom of your contacts
Click on the contact you want to delete & delete (you can use the keyboard delete or the delete option on the menu bar
