Teams - Request for New Group

Teams are automatically created for all registered classes & academies.  If a team is missing for one of these contact QMIST

The only teams created manually are for projects that require external users to access them

The chart below shows what SMT have approved

Full year group for a course - these are already created (will show as coursecode-1 or coursecode-2 depending on the year) - course leaders are added automatically & they should be contacted to add other staff

Students (E.g. Set up revision group for students from different classes)

If it is not a class with registers then the teacher can create it as a private channel in an existing teams group

Alternatively create a meeting & invite all the students (this would be useful for a trip)

Horizons/college events - there is an option to create a Team group

Staff 

Is the group a subset of an existing Team (E.g. A School or Support Function)? If so staff can create a private channel in the existing team and add the members in they would like to include.

If they are an official Cross-college group (E.g. STOG)? If so HR can add groups in Jane

If none of the above create a private channel in All Teaching staff or All Staff as applicable (all SMT & CMT should have access to do this)
