Convert Video and Audio Files Using VLC Media Player

If you have a video or audio file which can only be played in VLC Media Player then you may need to convert it to a different format for it to be played on other applications.

To convert the file:

1. Open VLC Media Player

2. Select 'Media' in the top left corner

3. Click '+ Add'

4. Select the file, wherever it is saved on your computer

5. Click 'Open'

6. Click 'Convert / Save'

7. Change 'Profile' to the file type you would like to convert to (.mp3 is usually good for audio, .mp4 is usually good for video)

8. Change the 'Destination File' to where you want the new file to be exported to

9. Click 'Start'
