Adobe Acrobat - Cannot Search for Keywords

Adobe Acrobat - Cannot Search for Keywords

Problem

When trying to use the ‘Find’ feature in Adobe Acrobat it is not finding any words even though you can see them on the page.

Solution

  1. Go to the top menu bar and click Edit then Preferences

  2. When the Preferences box opens, select the Search category on the left

  3. When in the Search category look to the bottom and click on the Purge Cache Contents box/button

  4. Finally Click OK in the bottom right of Preferences and re-attempt search

  5. The PDF should now be fully searchable
