Remote Access - Unable to Access Microphones & Other Devices

If you are unable to access devices such as printers & microphones when using remote access

Solution:

There is no way to pull some devices through to a remote desktop session.

We lock down the servers quite a lot for GDPR compliance, so we stop the user of copy/paste between local and remote session, prevent the user of printing locally etc. Part of this unfortunately also prevents the use of microphones and some other devices.

If you need to record a file record it locally, and then you should be able to add your files to OneDrive and access them from remote desktop that way.
