Report Phishing Email

Report Phishing Email

Phishing is a popular form of cybercrime because of how effective it is. Cybercriminals have been successful using emails, text messages, direct messages on social media or in video games, to get people to respond with sensitive information.

If you receive any suspicious emails never click any links or attachments!

You can report these emails from Outlook Application by ensuring the email is selected, clicking on the ‘Report Message’ icon on the menu bar and selecting ‘Phishing’.

On the Outlook Web version, select the check box next to the suspicious message in your inbox. Select ‘Report’ and then select ‘Report Phishing’.

Please ensure you only report phishing emails this way (if you are unsure what constitutes a phishing email, please contact Professional Development for training).

If you are receiving spam emails from genuine companies just block them (right click, Junk, block sender).
