OneNote Mobile - Unable to Sign in

If a student struggling with logging into OneNote because another account asks for a password, and they are unable to choose to sign in with a different account. Follow the steps below to remove the account and reset the sign in process:

iPhone

  1. Ensure all Office Apps are closed.

  2. Go to Settings and select OneNote.

  3. Now scroll down and click on Reset OneNote.

  4. Slide to enable Delete Login Credentials.

  5. Start OneNote for iPhone app.

  6. Sign in using your Microsoft account.

Android

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Select Application Management (or something similar)

  3. Go to OneNote and select it

  4. Find and Select Clear Data and Clear Cache - these options may be in Storage (or something similar)

  5. Force a close

  6. Go back out to your Home Screen and select OneNote

It will take some time and you will need to re-enter your credentials, but it should start to re-sync with your notes in the cloud.

If you are not using OneDrive the procedure for syncing might require more steps.
