Microphone Issues

Problem

Your microphone is not registering any sound when it is plugged into your laptop.

Solution

There could be a variety of causes for this. However, a common one is that the microphone is muted within Sound Settings.

To enable it again:

1. Type ‘Sound Settings’ into the search bar at the bottom of your screen.

2. Scroll down to the ‘Input’ section

3. Click the microphone icon so that there is no longer a line going through it
