Teams Voice - Enabling Inbound Call Information

When receiving a call, a screen for the call will automatically pop up. As an additional feature, we have incorporated the Staff Portal into the Teams Voice system meaning that, once a phone call is answered, this pop-up will be able to provide information relating to the incoming caller.

To enable this feature, please follow the below instructions:

  • Select the '...' in the top right , next to your face icon

  • Select 'Settings'

  • Select 'Calls' in the left column

  • Enable the toggle under 'Open apps in browser'

    • The toggle refers to allowing third party apps to automatically open in a new browser. This provides the access to use our Staff Portal.



  • Once enabled, as soon as your call connects the following screen will be displayed:

  • Presently this will auto detect numbers for:

    • Parents/Contacts

    • Comms Portal Parents

    • Students

    • Applicants

  • Coming soon this will detect:

    • Employers (for users of Spark)

    • Suppliers (for users of Open Accounts)

    • Staff Members (for users of Catalyst People)
