File Open - Choose App

Description:

If you are trying to open a file & it says there is no associated program or app, or the file isn't opening using the app you want it to (for example PDFs are opening in Chrome rather than Adobe)

Solution:

Ensure the file is saved to a shared area or your desktop - you can't do this if the file is still attached to an email (but after you have changed this setting you will then be able to open these file types direct from email)

• Right click on the File 

• Select Open with & Choose another app (don't select the app on this screen unless this is a one off)

Open

• Select the app you want to use & tick the Always use this app box

Open

• Click OK
